post-vacation stress

it feels like forever since ive written anything. i blame vacation for being so lax :p recap of what happened...

thurs 13 - not the worst day by itself. p and i went out to dinner with a friend of his. we went to houlihan's (my favorite) and i ate my entire meal. i had the mustard encrusted salmon with a mini appletini. delicious and filling

fri 14 - i was ok until dinner. i made myself chicken avocado wraps. they were delicious, but i shouldve made only 1

sat 15 - drove up to the poconos with p for a weeklong vacation. i brought some healthy snacks for the ride, and we had mcdonald's for lunch (the salads arent half bad). after we checked in (and tested the bed), we drove up to weis to get breakfast foods for sun. then we went out to eat. i had a cheeseburger and a rootbeer float; delicious and overpriced. after dinner, we scoped out the rest of the hotel, which had a little bar and restaurant attached. of course i had a drink (rum and diet coke). i was afraid to drink water while we drove because i didnt want to have to stop to pee every 40 min. unfortunately, i ended up only getting 3 glasses the entire day :(

sun 16 - we went back to weis and got breakfast/lunch food for the week, then chilled all afternoon. we did find the cheap movie theater and saw the proposal. then we had a late dinner at perkins. i had french toast with kielbasa, hash browns and milk. then i topped it off with a cinnamon bun. i did manage to get a good 5 glasses of water in for the day

mon 17 - i had leftover french toast for breakfast (delicious). i made myself a little sandwich with eggs and a slice of cheese. i also had a glass of apple juice with a yogurt. we went to gouldsboro state park for the afternoon to walk the trails. unfortunately, some of the trails were closed because they connected to another state park that was closed for maintenance. we packed a little lunch so i had a ham and cheese sandwich, blueberries, quacker mini rice cakes and 100 cal cheezits. we were at the park for a little over an hour before heading back to the hotel. unfortunately, i had a 3pm conference call so p went swimming without me. after my call, i got a little more sun and a little p time. we were gonna go to the restaurant for dinner, but forgot they only serve dinner on the weekends. instead we got drinks, and p played a game of poker. afterwards, we had dinner in the room; yay salad. the drinking before led to more drinking (and snacking) after. over the course of the evening, i drank 2 amaretto sours, rum/coke, root beer/vodka and ginger ale/vodka. before bed we played cards, and i munched on combos. good thing i got 4 glasses of water in though

tues 18 - very lazy day. we had eggs and sausage for breakfast. i put mine on a bagel with a slice of cheese. i felt adventurous so i tried to fry tomato slices. it needed some basil and salt, but was still good. washed it all done with delicious skim milk. since we had a late/large breakfast, we didnt really have lunch. i snacked on apples and 100 cal pringles to tide me over til dinner. we went to the movies again because on tuesdays you can get dinner and a movie for $10. gi joe + quesadilla/fries + strawberry cheesecake cone = great night. also another 4.5 glasses of water for the day

wed 19 - small breakfast of sausage and eggs before another trip to a state park. this time we went to big pocono, which is not a misnomer. it took forever to get to because i missed the exit, but was totally worth it. we had sandwiches again. plus i brought 100 cal pringles, blueberries, an apple and 1/4 tomato sliced. the trails were muuuch longer than at gouldsboro. we ended up walking for nearly 2 hours :) then i gave my credit card a little exercise at the outlets. when we got back to the hotel, i had a yogurt, mini rice cakes and a ghirardelli chocolate square. we went to a fabulous hibachi grill for dinner. i had fried gyoza (i thought they were going to be steamed but oh well), smoked salmon sashimi and a ton of sushi. i had a martini at the restaurant and a glass of wine when we got back. good news: i was up to 5 glasses of water for the day

thurs 20 - i made bisquick pancakes for breakfast with sausage. i had a yogurt while i was cooking. then p and i went to a local brewery for a tour and tasting. the tour was quick so we decided to have lunch as well. i had 2 beers (including the tasting), chicken tenders with honey mustard/barbeque sauces and chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. afterwards, we played minigolf. i never win, but i love it anyway :) then, we were lazy until dinner, which we ate at the hotel's restaurant. i had garlic shrimp, cheese ravioli, sauteed broccoli and a dinner roll. i did not get a drink for once. instead i had a glass of water, my 5th for the day. later in the evening, i had 100 cal pringles and mini rice cakes with 2 more glasses of water

fri 21 - super lazy day. i had a small breakfast - egg and laughing cow wedge with milk. we took a trip to the spa, where i had a less than satisfying mani/pedi. i mostly snacked the rest of the day. i had a yogurt, mini rice cakes, 100 cal cheezits, and leftover sushi. for dinner i had salad and wine. after dinner i had blueberries and another yogurt. i managed to drink another 7 glasses of water, but the only activity i had was lifting the remote

sat 22 - we had a quick breakfast (bagel and laughing cow wedge) before packing up the car. luckily, packing didnt take long so we had 45 min to chill. after checkout, we stopped at a winery for a tour. unfortunately, it was closer to the hotel than i thought so we had over an hour to kill before the first tour. we did a tasting and wandered around the store/property. unfortunately, i was bored and p was tired so we left. no wine tour, but we got on the road 40 min earlier than planned. the drive back was good. we'd made ham and cheese sandwiches for the trip, and there was very little traffic. i think we only ended up making 1 stop for gas/potty. i dropped p off at home, and vegged the entire rest of the day. i had blueberry pancakes for dinner. and i snacked on mini rice cakes, 100 cal cheezits and 2 glasses of wine afterwards. not the smartest move. i did get in 4 glasses of water, but it wasn't enough to prevent the wine funk on sun

sun 23 - wine hangover killed the day; i watched tv/napped. n & i didnt leave the house even to get groceries. instead we ordered in. over the course of the day, i had blueberry pancakes with milk, a banana, 100 cal pringles, a bagel with cream cheese, cranberry juice, pizza hut cheese sticks and 2 slices of stuffed crust veggie lovers pizza. even though i felt like shit, i only got 1 glass of water the entire day

mon 24 - i attempted to get back on track, but thats hard to do when there's no food in the house. i had a bagel (1/2 cream cheese, 1/2 butter), a banana and milk for breakfast. i took 2 slices of pizza for lunch with blueberries as a snack. i was starving by the time i got to my parents so i ate there. i had salad and homemade pasta sauce. i helped mom with the sauce while we discussed my stupid conference call. it had zucchini, mushrooms, onions, garlic, tomatoes and ground beef. i passed on pasta, but couldnt get enough of the sauce :p i had absolutely no water the whole day

tues 25 - i helped move my sister in at salisbury university yesterday so it was a bit of a crazy day. i didnt really have time for breakfast so i snagged a snack bag from the parents'. mom had these silly "healthy" cheese puffs in the car which i ate a ton of. i helped bring a few of s's things up to the apartment, but spent most of my time setting everything up. she and my mom are not so handy so it's a good thing i came. we took a break for lunch and went out with her roomie's entourage to ruby tuesday's. i had the bison bacon cheeseburger (no bun, no sauce) and completely cleaned my plate. i managed to down 2 glasses of water while we were there. after lunch, we all went to walmart so the girls could get cleaning supplies and food. this was followed by more unpacking and a continued fight with the school's internet connection. but i finally got the internet working, the xbox setup and the tv programmed. mom and i rolled out at about 6 so we stopped on the way for dinner. unfortunately, we just couldnt resist going to the bob evans. i had the fruit and yogurt crepes with turkey sausage. i also ate a few bites of mom's multigrain hotcake (yuuuuummy). one more glass of water down, and off we go. we got back to the house around 920, and i got home at 945. i immediately crawled in to bed

in total, ive eaten an excess of 128.5 points since the 12th. i told my mom i ate enough for a 6 person family, and i was right. ugh i am not looking forward to getting on the scale tonight. not only have i been careless with my eating, but my period is coming up :(

my goals for this week:
1) get back on track foodwise (this includes getting groceries)
2) get back on my wii routine
3) start going to the gym after work instead of vegging

i know the next few days are going to be a little rough. boo to being thrown off by vacation. but wish me luck, internets. im going to need it
