too much cake

sugar and i are bff's, and we need to be just f's for now (and i'm not the only one with that problem). today is another weight watchers weigh in day, judgement day if you will, so we'll see how well i survived the birthday extravaganza. if all goes well (under a pound gained or *fingers crossed* a small loss), one of the cakes currently invading my house gets to stay. if there's a huge gain, both cakes are coming to work tomorrow. clearly buttercream icing is my downfall so the less i have sitting in my kitchen, the better... or i could just let N eat it all. he's supposed to be cleansing this week, but keeps sneaking cake when i'm not around (yea, i'm putting your business out there :p)

to counteract coating my insides with pillsbury and betty crocker, i have been trying to get my 20-30 minutes of activity "more days than not", with moderate success. i missed two days of the 30 day wii active challenge, but it adjusted my schedule to compensate :) so i'm still somewhat on track. and i already did today's routine since i won't be home until 8ish tonight. late nights seem to be the biggest deterrent to keeping up. so now i'm trying to mix morning and evening workouts. we'll see if i can keep up the mornings instead of snoozing for an extra hour ;) plus, since it's been sunny, i decided to walk a few extra blocks to and from class last night. normally, i use the UB lightrail stop, which is barely three blocks from my class. last night, i used the cultural center stop, which is an extra two(ish) blocks and passes by the starbucks. one 4point frappacino later, i made it to class with 20 minutes to spare :) i'm not sure how long this will last cause it's getting hot as a motherfucker in MD. i may start bringing ice on tuesdays instead of water cause i dont trust my waterbottle to keep out the heat for five hours. this sweaty mess of a person will need ice water if the humidity stays this high all spring/summer [sidebar: where did spring go? it was 90 degrees in my car this morning]


in other walking news, N and i are going to start training for the susan g. komen walk for the cure (feel free to donate using the handy widget to your left :)). his coworker put together a training schedule, and i think i might die. while it's a great motivator for a great cause, i've never done so much walking in my life. in prep, i'm buying a second ankle brace. otherwise, i might need an ankle transplant in about a week :( i've also been contemplating the weight watchers walk it challenge in june. it's part of tonight's discussion so i'll decide after i get some more info. my body isn't going to know what hit it in the upcoming weeks (it didn't quite get the memo that i'm seriously in it to gym it)

it may be just walking, but every little bit helps when you're fighting a sweet tooth
